Well, this was nothing to write home about. At least there was some entertainment to be had.
The book has an okay mystery, especially the added intercultural dimension made this intriguing to some extent. But I hardly ever felt close to the MCs and their story. Although the writing was good, the sex scenes were surprisingly hard to take. Very purplish M/M speak and weirdly paced and also so very resourceful when it came to describing Jae’s anus:
pucker, the man’s pout, rosy ring, entrance, hole, Jae’s soft warmth, Jae’s velvet heat, the velvet crimping.
Usually I’m too curious to give up on a series (Ty&Zane!), but I think I can handle it here.
